What would you recommend for my 2021 Porsche Macan Turbo?
Just bought a 2012 cayenne turbo, when lowered doesn't stay in the lowest settings also would a lowering module help .I also need tips on light mods best bang for the buck software etc
Im looking to buy a 2023 turbo S in coming months. Im looking to get to 1000 bhp, have you safely tuned it to those levels before?
No, we typically see high 700s
Would that be also for the GTS model?
@@briandowney3033 Yes
@@Flat6Motorsportscan the clutch handle that much hp and torque?
@@briandowney3033 yes, we wouldn’t offer if it couldn’t!
But, does it pull harder in higher RPM range?
Yes
Yes this is a great “budget type vehicle!”
In the 911 range*
Gt3 has a lot more downforce, which I wouldn’t imagine many 911 owners would actually dare to try the corner limits of, so a car that’s is ok in the corner and fast on a straight may not be an bad idea
Yes.
C6 ZR1 with 2650 Kong supercharger upgrade runs 4 second 60-130 mph with 8 second 1/4 mile. Plus it’s stick shift .
any turbo upgrades available for the 958
waste of money
Flat 6 MS does excellent work! 💪 🏁
Great UA-cam channel 👍
Fantastic💪💪
Loving the bodykit
Damn. That exhaust note!!
"Promo SM"
Thanks Im having trouble with the bottom of the filter not alining up still see orange rubber twords the bottom.
Some nice aftermarket wheels would be clean! But I guess if you are trying to keep it in the budget it’s not worth it
Damn! I can't believe I paid $1500 for the dealer to fix this.
was the car having less than 2000 miles?
Would the process be the same for the Sppedster variant? Thx
No, it uses a different powerplant and airbox set-up.
@@Flat6Motorsports more or less complicated? Thx
@Flat6Motorsports do you find it difficult to read the white numbers on the tachometer during the daytime due to the white ring, or does the black tracing around the numbers provide enough contrast?
You know, I wish Porsche would have used black lettering on the white gauge. I don't find it to be an issue, you get very used to where things are at by the needle and sound but I do think it was a tad bit of an oversight by Porsche.
Sounds like the old school 911s
how do you open and close the valces
It reuses the factory valve actuators.
Jon at what odometer miles will you do your first oil change?
1 year or 10,000 miles. I generally do them more frequent on our development cars (6 months or 5K just due to the use we put them through). It's probably not necessary at all to do that but given the ease/cost we typically do. Per Porsche (I only have current through the 991 generation). For the Turbo (which is probably more similar to the Carrera due to the turbochargers and heat to the oil) they schedule for 4500 track miles or after 1 24 hour Nürburgring race. For the GT3, it's 6000 track miles or after 2 24 hour Nürburgring races. So the 10K miles is fine!
Does it trigger any CEL?
Unfortunately, yes it will.
Can a O2 spacer eliminate the CEL? Any recommendations?
@@vsbb6 We haven't had any luck there.
Will this tune void my Porsche warranty? Can the dealer tell if I flash back to factory before service? Thanks
Thanks for the video Jon really enjoyed it.👍 What is the difference between a Base Carrera and a T Carrera except the Manual Gearbox ? Even knowing you can get the T with PDK Transmission.
The only differences are the T get's the mechanical LSD, SPASM (lowers the car 10mm), and some lightweight glass/sound detinning. Overall pretty minor, the LSD would be the biggest advantage. The interior gets a few "T" bits too like the sport seats which I really enjoy over the base seats.
Its needs more corner speed............decent set of brake pads, hi t brake fluid, better alignment whilst maintaining thrust angle at 0, better tires and then see how it does - more power is rarely the answer - driver training and better tires usually is.
Agreed but the goal of this build isn't exclusive to just improving lap times. We'll use them to compare the set-ups.
@@Flat6Motorsports 👍
What in-house tune do you recommend for my 2018 Macan s I have BMC intakes, fabspeed intermediate dual x pipe and mbrp slip on exhaust. Transmission insert and evo 6 diverter valves.
Cobb with either our Stage 1+ or Pro Tune.
Can't justify this over a C8 Z06.
Because you’ve never driven one. It’s not about pure raw speed, it’s about the feel of the car.
Jon, does it drone compared to the stock PSE? Also, is it considerably louder inside the cabin too?
Drone is similar to stock but just louder/more persistent
Did you get any lap times? I’m curious because I frequent The Firm and I’m considering a T.
1:18.3, I had a nice lap on pace to run a ~1:17.7 but caught a really slow car on the straight towards the end of the lap that didn't see me/give me a point by so had to get on the brakes. I'm slow through turn 4, the off camber kink. The car has more in it for sure.
Ok that’s fast thanks. I’m at 123.1 in a G80 manual with stock Pirelli’s.
Sounds like this car is pretty good out of the box! 😁
Are you supposed to rev over 4000 rpm with 200 miles?? I just got my T last week.
Warm it up and drive it like you stole it. Break-in is because of lawyers. In Germany, break-in isn't even a thing. People buy their cars and take them straight to the ring. If you want, spend the first 700 miles or so increasing the revs a little bit every 100 miles or so, but even that isn't necessary. Do what makes you most comfortable, but think about it....the idea of driving the car under 4k rpm for the first 1,800 miles and then hammering it all the way to redline at 1801 miles makes no sense either. Warm it up and enjoy it.
Wondering the same thing. My instructor at Porsche Leipzig said you don’t have to but I want to hear it from these guys
@@sportdrivingpnw This is debated on every single performance car forum. Ultimately, everyone needs to do what makes them comfortable. Breaking it in slowly won't hurt it...or will it? There's a counter argument that driving it like a wuss in the beginning will cause it to burn oil later. Is it true? I have no idea. I own multiple performance cars and have always been reasonable with the first 500-750 break-in miles - building revs as the miles pile on, but then it's warm it up and enjoy. It's a Porsche.
did the brakes start to get spongy after a few laps?
Not too soft but we recommend higher temp fluid for sure. I wasn't pushing the car 10/10ths, just giving it a good shakedown (8-9 lap stints).
How do you compare this to the 718 GTS? Also what happened to your 992 S with the tune? Would’ve liked to see that on the track.
2.5L or 4.0L? The other 992 has been replaced but we'll be taking this up to 700HP and will check back in with another track review along the way.
@@Flat6Motorsports 4.0. Why was the 992 S replaced?
@@KoryoJK It was a base PDK with GTS and then Pure Turbos. We wanted to do more validation on a manual. The 4.0 is a tad more nimble/direct and has a more neutral feel. The big advantage of the 992 would be the mechanical grip and the torque on corner exit via the turbos.
Great video, Jon! Looking forward to what y'all will do with this platform! -Charles@M
Trying to remeber in your other video what your 0-60 time was in the base model after the tune. Wasnt it quicker?
Yes, here is that video: ua-cam.com/video/UiiBu-bybp0/v-deo.html (4:54 mark for the acceleration measurements).
What is the benefit to doing this mod? Are there any real gains? Does it sound any different?
Yes, 10whp, lower ambient intake temps and some improvement to the induction noise.
@@Flat6Motorsports thank you!
Would you recommend something like this for the Porsche Panamera 970 version?
Yes, there is solid potential on the base model as well!
Word to the wise be careful with IPE and IPE exhausts they do not honor warranty issues and routinely deny claims when you have problems. They are misleading in telling consumers that if there is a problem with one of their exhausts systems, they will replace them. This is not true on any level and even when two reputable companies, Wheels Boutique and Champion Motor Sports, told them their titanium exhaust installed on my car was defective...and sent them video's, they still refuse to take responsibility and replace the damaged/defective system. This is a very poor business model and they do not protect consumers. IPE also does not return phone calls or emails and takes weeks and weeks to not address your problem.

Any chance to get it in Europe? I do not want to pay for the customs.
Is it possible to increase power to the lower end of rpms?
Where do i add the hydraulic fluid for suspension and fal? Can you tell me where the tank is located at ?
Would you be able to tell me where i can locate the suspension and fal hydraulic fluid reservoir ? 992 gt3 Thanks !
Will a new clutch be needed with the added power, or can the stock clutch handle it? If it can take the extra power, how much power can the stock clutch handle? Thanks!!
Nope, we haven't found the limit yet of the stock clutch, we're hoping to but seems safe well over 700HP.
@Flat6Motorsports wow!! Great, thanks for the info... car looks and sounds great, by the way 👌🏼
